Creeping herbaceous perennial native to Southern California and the American SW. Succulent, ovate leaves on fat round stalks give rise to beautiful rose-tinged, whiter-flowered coneheads. The dried root is a potent antimicrobial (smells excellently) and the plant itself disinfects and purifies polluted ground. Yerba mansa prefers full sun and sodden soil. I would say they are hardy to 20 degrees F, but you can overwinter them in colder areas by choosing a sunny microsite or by bringing some of the runners indoors for the winter.
